Thursday Ramblings

My life is as varied as a bag of Skittles. I give my kids the credit. However, there is a little boy who really should take most the credit.

His name is Derrick. He is the sweetest, most well natured boy. He is my buddy. You will see us on Instagram a lot together.

It's mostly because I don't trust him enough to let him out of my sight for very long! Just sorta kidding on that one. Like, I'm kidding cause I don't want you to think I'm crazy over-protective or mean momma. BUT...if you met the kid, you would so get where I am coming from. Anyways, today Derrick was home with me so we could take a trip to acute care. We spent too many hours waiting for a verdict on a stubbed toe. He accidentally kicked my shoe covered heel Tuesday night with his barefoot. He was walking too close, not paying attention. Typical Derrick. I stopped. He didn't.

Hours and hours later,  the x-rays came back showing every bone complete and intact. What can you do? Three hours gone! My Thursday was lost. I'm just gonna roll with it. I'm glad he is ok and will be better soon.

However, today was going to be my shopping day. The grocery store namely. I swear I can't keep food in this house. Three kids, two boys. I feel like I am always going to the grocery store. I'm also wanting to get my bedding for the master bedroom. I think I have it narrowed down to teal and gray for the colors. I want to check out a few stores, like Macy's and HomeGoods before I make the final decision.

And I'm 7 days into February and still have not bought any new clothes. Mixed feelings about it. Proud of myself for breaking a habit but totally coveting the new bright blue capris from every retail outlet in America. Namely Target...Ann Taylor Loft...Old Navy. You get the idea.

I don't think I am going to get a shopping day for me this week. Friday is booked. Saturday too. Maybe Sunday? Although, any weekend shopping means dragging along three non-shoppers who would rather be in the toy aisle than anywhere else and aren't afraid to say it...loudly...repeatedly...for all to hear.

I think I'll just try to go next week.
