My husband is home! Wow, I really love saying that. My husband is home!! I wish I could tell you were are out painting the town and soaking up every minute of alone time. But that is not the case. My husband is down, recovering from surgery. I am patiently trying nurse him back to health. As a military spouse, this is not the way I imagined Homecoming. You think more along the lines of romance and reconnecting. We are trying but mostly he watches TV and I try to combat cabin fever.
The sure fire way to relieve my boredom is Pinterest. At this point, my husband is encouraging it. And after 14 years of marriage, I've learned to take full advantage of his generosity. Innocently, he believes all Pinterest projects are made with stuff around the house and without male assistance. Poor child will have to learn the hard way!
My latest craft was a Jersey Knotted Headband. I have this project pinned on my 'Tween Crafts' board. The original pin is below:
The jersey headbands can be made with any stretchy material or an old knit tshirt. I happened to collect a few Ts organizing the master closet. I wish constructing the headbands were as easy as finding the old tshirts. I'm not a crafty one, so I had to try the knots twice.
I'm a little embarrassed how terrible the first knot looks.
I'm honestly not that crafty.
Modeling headband #1. Cute and easy project.
Perfect for kids and teens!
This is really cute!! I might have to try to make one :)
