Gratitude Journal

Nothing beats getting away from the beaten path. There is so much more to discover when you go with the less travelled path.

I love watching my kids explore and learn about science in a very real way.

I love watching my kids test themselves.
Can I balance on the stepping stones to cross the stream?

If I fall, will I be ok?

I want them to see California for more than Disneyland and beaches. I want them to see the unique plants and animals they never see playing outside in the perfectly planned and maintained neighborhoods.

I cannot think of a better way to begin my day than with a family hike. It's such an indulgence to be in nature and able to reflect on true blessings given to us. A world rich with natural beauty. This gratitude post is for those morning hikes we manage to fit into our busy life.

  2. Hi Nicole! I found your blog from Jen Smith. I went to college down in Irvine, CA and if your kids are adventurous there's a park in Irvine called the Orange County Great Park. They offer helium balloon rides on the Great Park Balloon. It's literally a huge orange helium balloon that carries I think 25 people? I thought you might be interested! :) It's a lot cheaper than Disneyland. If I remember correctly it's pet friendly and a great place for photography. I took some graduation pictures there.
