My Long Winded New Year Resolution

Tis the season for new year resolutions! Some of us make them, others don't. Whether you do or do not, can we argue with the hope of becoming a better person? Ultimately, the whole resolution thing boils down to one simple idea. Self improvement.

Maybe the yearly to-do list is a bit overwhelming. All our most challenging goals on one list might be a little much. The recent trend in umbrella words or phrases seem easier. I've decided to give it a try for 2015. My resolution for 2015 is to be more authentic. I found the picture below on my IG newsfeed and it fits exactly how I'm feeling now.

STITCHFIX

I'll be honest, I spent much of 2014 spinning my wheels. I feel like I wasted a lot of time. I felt more stress than happiness. I worked when I should have played. Said no when I meant yes. Didn't speak when I should have gave them hell! I had a lot of 'Shame on Me' moments in 2014.

I want 2015 to be different. I want to walk away from every situation without regret. I want to be bold. Ask for forgiveness, not permission. I want people to know who I am and let them make their judgements based on that. And I want to be ok with that!

My resolution to be authentic covers everything for me. From what to wear to how to operate professionally. I'm calling bullsh!t on myself! Like I said yesterday, I've got a really good feeling about 2015. If I can pull this resolution off, then I think it could be the best year yet :)
