This is what 7th grade looks like.
This is what trouble looks like. Or 2nd and 4th grade.
I made lunches this morning. Well, ok, last night.
I've spent some time pinning lunch ideas this summer. I do pack a lunch for my kids every day. Today is an Asian theme: rice rolls, seasoned snack mix, cheese, veggies, grapes, & juice (not shown). I hope it's enough food to fill their tummies.
Now what am I going to do with my day? I've got dinner in the crockpot, house picked up, and now I'm off to buy supplies for a project. My husband is kicking his tobacco habit and I've got a gift in mind. More updates on that later!
You pack great lunches!
ReplyDeleteI am making more of an effort this year. I want lunch to be healthy and fun!
DeleteHope they have a great first day!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your silence. ;)
Thanks!
DeleteNice blog. Your children's lunch looks awesome. Not sure how I happened across your blog, but I was drawn in by the Semper Fi title as I just learned what it was this past weekend when I participated in a 5K Run for the Fallen Marines. Just joined your site. God Bless you and your family
ReplyDeleteHope, thank you for stopping by and joining my blog. And thank you for running for our Marine families who have made the ultimate sacrifice. I love to see our community give back to those who sacrifice daily for freedom. You're willingness to support and bring attention to this cause is equally important.
DeleteI hope they had a great 1st day! They all looked great in their casual wear. Kids are so casual around here too and we are all the way in KY. Must be a generational thing.
ReplyDeleteYay for the hubby kicking the habit. Oh how I need to kick mine. Smoking is such a hard habit to break.
Hi Angie. It's always great to have you stop by. If Kentucky is the same, then it must be generational. I am so proud that my husband has decided to kick his habit. I understand that nicotine and the habit is hard to kick. So I really want to support his effort/decision. Be sure to check out the candy tree I made for him!
DeleteWhat a yummy lunch! How do you keep the sushi cold? Hope they had a great first day! I hope your husband does it!!!

Carolyn, thanks for stopping by. I freeze the juice box so it acts at an ice pak to keep things cold. The juice box is thawed by lunch time. Works like a charm.
